This handset was launched this month in US and UK. And now this sexy baby is in India in all its artistic glory. Motorola Aura was launched by its brand ambassador and Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan.

Its display is made from Grade 1 62-carat sapphire crystal which is one of the most scratch-resistant materials on earth. The phone has stainless steel housing with chemically etched textures and patterns takes nearly two weeks to sculpt, etch and polish and has Swiss-made main bearing, which serves as the foundation allowing the blade to rotate with seamless precision.

The opening blade is has 130 precision ball bearings that drive the assisted-opening blade. Moreover. Gears made to open blades are composed of Rockwell 50-55 hardened steel are protected with the same coating used in high-performance racing engines. The phone gets its shine from PVD coating which is used when making luxury watches.

And the specs ? Aura mobile phone has 2 MP, fixed focus camera, 2GB user available memory. This 141 grams phone has 400 hours of standby time and 7.3 hours of talk time and supports GSM 850, GSM 900, GSM 1800, GSM 1900 and EDGE Class 12 and GPRS Class 12 networks.

And the price. The mobile phone costs a whopping Rs 1.11 lakh! Certainly not for an average mobile user. But it was not meant for those. Motorola has launched as a luxury mobile phone and so is the price.
