HTC Magic The Google Android Phone In India
India has finally got its first Android powered touchscreen phone HTC Magic and the courtesy goes to Airtel which has tied up with the Taiwanese cellphone maker to sell these phones in India. What is so special about this mobile phone is that the phone has Google's operating system for mobiles. For starters, Android is an OS developed by Google and is gaining popularity fast due to its being open source.
HTC Magic comes with a 3.2 inches HVGA display (320X480). The 116 grams handset measures 4.45 x 2.19 x 0.54 inches. There is a very handy trackball with enter button that enables you to scroll up and down screen. Since it is Android based phone, it has all the goodies like Google Maps, GTalk, Calendar, GMail, and more.

What is more, Airtel will be selling the unlocked version of the phone so that you can use it with any network of your choice. Also known as HTC G2, the phone comes with a 3.2 megapixel camera. The device supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, mini USB and GPS.
The phone has some limitations like there is no physical keyboard. Moreover, Flash is not supported and supported video formats include MP4 and 3GP only. The phone is available in India for around Rs. 30,000/-.
