Nexus One The Touch Screen Phone From Google
The time has finally arrived for which many enthusiasts of Google and Android were waiting phone. The company has announced its own touch screen mobile phone, Nexus One. It will be the first phone that is officially Google's own and the company is selling its unlocked version from its own website. The phone runs on Android operating system and 1-GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 3.7 inches wide screen display, a 5 megapixels snapper among other features. The handset is manufactured by HTC, Taiwan. Full technical specifications can be accessed at the phone's website. On software front one of the most potent feature is there is voice-to-text facility that lets you enter text in any UI using your voice, a much coveted feature.
One can buy the phone from company for $529 unlocked while through T-Mobile the device can be obtained for a two year contract for $179. Verizon Wireless and Vodafone will be coming up with similar offers soon.
Nexus One is considered a very bold step by company towards its entry into the arena of super smart phones. With this new offering it will be competing with Apple, RIM directly.
