There is a buzz that Verizon has given its nod to release the sequel of popular BlackBerry storm touted as iPhone rival. According to SlashGear the BlackBerry Storm 2 will be released sometime in September this year. Being the later version of Storm, the mobile phone have to fulfill exceeding expectations. And if rumors are true, the successor of Storm surely live up to promise.
The new BlackBerry phone will address many shortcomings of previous version. For one, the smartphone is said to be equipped with Wi-Fi connectivity support. Then there are improvements in touchscreen too. BlackBerry Storm 2 will feature a revamped screen and will use the technology called TruePress instead of SurePress. These two major changes makes the new device more Pro-consumer and make it attractive to both both consumers and business users.
Although the full specs and pricing details are still unavailable, one thing is sure that the new BlackBerry Storm will pose a serious competition to the likes of iPhone, HTC and Palm Pre.
