There is a buzz that Verizon has given its nod to release the sequel of popular BlackBerry storm touted as iPhone rival. According to SlashGear the BlackBerry Storm 2 will be released sometime in September this year. Being the later version of Storm, the mobile phone have to fulfill exceeding expectations. And if rumors are true, the successor of Storm surely live up to promise.


The new BlackBerry phone will address many shortcomings of previous version. For one, the smartphone is said to be equipped with Wi-Fi connectivity support. Then there are improvements in touchscreen too. BlackBerry Storm 2 will feature a revamped screen and will use the technology called TruePress instead of SurePress. These two major changes makes the new device more Pro-consumer and make it attractive to both both consumers and business users.

Although the full specs and pricing details are still unavailable, one thing is sure that the new BlackBerry Storm will pose a serious competition to the likes of iPhone, HTC and Palm Pre.

There is a good news for BlackBerry users in Hong Kong. BlackBerry Storm the wildly popular mobile phone by RIM is all set to be released in Hong Kong. Although no pricing details are available yet, the handset will be released in second quarter sometime. There will be multiple carriers offering the cellphone including 1O1O, 3 Hong Kong, China Mobile , one2free and SmarTone-Vodafone.



The BlackBerry Storm smartphone brings a whole lot of features with it. BSNL Teams With RIM To Launch BlackBerry Mobile Phone Services In India

There is a good news for BlackBerry Mobile Phone users In India. The state owned telecom operator BSNL and Canadian Research In Motion (RIM) have launched BlackBerry services in the country.

It is estimated that there are around 1,30,000 Blackberry users in India. Moreover, with more and more operators jumping into the BlackBerry and 3G bandwagon, this number is bound to increase.

Almost every telecom operator like Vodafone, Bharti Airtel has launched BlackBerry services because of high demand for the magical Blackberry instrument in India.

The BlackBerry was introduced in 1999 as wireless handheld device working as a two-way pager. Later, in 2002, BlackBerry was released by RIM in its present smartphone avatar. It is a smart device which supports push e-mail, mobile telephone, text messaging, internet faxing, web browsing and other wireless information services as well as a multi-touch interface. Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), the state owned telecom operator has recently announced to launch the BlackBerry 3G services in India. The move is very significant as it marks the 3G in India finally taking off. BSNL will offer many models, BlackBerry Bold being one of them.
