Nokia is launching its most eagerly awaited touch screen handset, Nokia N97 in India soon. In fact the phone has already been launched in the country but the device will start shipping by the second week of June 2009. The cellphone by the Finnish phone maker is touted as one of the most advanced converged device yet.
Nokia N97 has all the features of a smartphone, a tech savvy user may expect. Among the prominent features there is a 3.5 inches screen, five mp camera and a front camera for video calls. The phone is fist device to support Nokia Ovi store that was launched a few weeks ago. Ovi is online store offering downloads like applications and other multimedia content and has been setup on the lines of Apple and BlackBerry app stores. What is more prominent about this new baby is that this device is centered around web. One can connect to friends on the go through Facebook, check mail and more. The handset will be launched with a price tag of Rs. 34K-35K.

Nokia N97 is a very sleek and feature packed touchscreen phone. This is a slider phone running on Symbian OS and S60 platform. The phone supports the cutting edge technologies like 3G and EDGE.
