According to company the upgrade will bring faster mobile data downloads, better mobile email experience, and a better search experience with a new built-in search tool. The major features of the new software update include faster user interface and faster download time. YouTube Native App For S60 3rd Edition

Youtube has launched an application specially crafted for S60 3rd edition based mobile phones. The application allows one to search videos from the vast catalog of YouTube and has most basic functions available on desktop version like viewing lists of the top rated, most viewed and most recent videos. The application does not support the S60 5th edition yet but presumably soon the support will be there.


Right now, the application is available for US, Australia, New Zealand and the UK only. Let us hope that the application finds its way into other countries as well given the popularity of YouTube. The video quality is good, and seems like optimized for QVGA screen resolution. The application provides the most basic functionality and does not offers offline viewing of videos. Photobucket, the popular photo and video sharing site has teamed up with T-Mobile to create a mobile photo service that allows the users to send their photos to many destinations like Photobucket album, an email address or a PC hard drive. The service id exclusively for T-Mobile users.

Users who want to avail of this service can download a free 21 days trial version of the application to selected handsets including the Blackberry Curve, BlackBerry Pearl and three Windows Mobile phones which enables them to save their digital photos directly to Photobucket album.

Once the mobile uploader software has been downloaded, the users can specify where photos taken from their mobile phones should be automatically uploaded to.

After 21 days if they want they can upgrade the application to full version for a special holiday one-time purchase price of $19.99. In case the photo sharing app is not upgraded, it will continue to work in a reduced functionality mode wherein users photos can only be uploaded to albums.
